A downloadable game
A game by Swansonge
Date Nite is a micro adventure game about love, made for Playdate in Pulp.
Follow the protagonist as they prepare the perfect date night for their partner. Tackle challenges, meet strange characters, and encounter surprises on their journey to express their love.
Date Nite takes usually takes between 10 to 30 minutes to completeand is best played in a single session.
Accessibility
Date Nite utilizes the Playdate's crank for some puzzles and actions in the game. Crank controls to can be turned off on the game's landing screen with an options menu accessed with the B button.
Some players may find the speed of some obstacles/hazards to be too fast as they play the game. The speed of these hazards can be lowered in the options menu.
Tips
- If you find yourself getting stuck on obstacles that are too fast for you to get past, don't be afraid to make the game less difficult by relaunching the game and lowering the hazards speed in the game's options menu
- If you're stuck on a puzzle, consult signposts or nearby characters
- If you encounter a bug that is halting your game progress, it is recommended to exit back to the Playdate main menu and then relaunch the game, selecting continue on Date Nite's landing screen. This resets the game state and often times fixes the issue. If the issue persists, go to the main menu and instead select new game to restart the game. This should be a last resort option, but the game is short so you won't lose much progress.

Really loved your game and wrote a little thing about it on my Playdate website. Ending made me cry happy tears, thank you for making this! https://www.playdateunofficial.com/the-games/date-nite/
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad it connected with you :)
why make us wait for 60 days?
Hi! It’s set for an October 30th release so I can hold myself to a 2024 release date while also giving myself time to do one last playtest and clean up bugs.
